Program Outline

Wi-Fi enabled tablets loaned to older adults

Partnerships with Organizations outside the Library

We work with Premier Wireless Technology, in Texas, to purchase and support the tablets. The funding comes from AgeOptions.

Rules

This is a 3 week check-out, renewals if there is not a waiting list. Only available to cardholders from our library.

Biggest Obstacles

Teaching older adults to use tablets requires face-to-face instruction, something that wasn't possible for most of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Unexpected Developments

I didn't know how much technology vocabulary and practice older adults need to learn.
